Dugout canoe donated as a fundraiser for building a new Queen Margaret’s School. Young children from QMS are sitting in the canoe to promote raffle tickets, while Chief Underwood and others supervise. The canoe and paddles were painted by Simon Charie.
Pat Charlie, age 74, was one of the oldest students to recieve their Graduation Certificate for completing the adult education classes from the Cowichan School District.
